Lotus introduced a special edition, Evora S to commemorate the legendary British Roker, Farrokh Bulsara, or better known as Freddie Mercury in London. Lotus deliberately chose September 5, because it coincided with the birth date of Queen band's frontman, who should now aged 65 years. Freddie died 24 November 1991 because of AIDS.
Evora S is offered in a special white color cast with three lines across the middle of the body is colored red-yellow-red, according to Freddie pride costumes used during a gig. Interior, the entire surface was black with a touch of yellow lines in some parts, as well dress like one man with a mustache who is identical with it.
Not to forget, Freddie signature crown logo on the dashboard and behind the two front seats complete the Evora's this special touch. For features, this special issue is tantamount to the original version. According to Gino Rosato, Director of Corporate Operations, Lotus special edition was produced in very limited amount.
Lotus Evora S Freddie Mercury Edition will be auctioned at the Savoy Hotel, London, England, and each unit sold, the funds are directly donated to the institution Mercury Phoenix Trust to help people living with HIV AIDS.
"We wanted something special to get funding for institutions (humanitarian) Mercury Phoenix Trust. Hence we expect, the unit could fall into the hands of collectors who really like it," said Gino.
