2011 Actross Euro VI



Mercedes-benz has launched Actross heavy duty truck diesel engine with Euro VI standards specifically designed to transport long-distance travel. Tractor truck vehicle is claimed to be 3% more efficient than its predecessor.

Mercedes-Benz claims the trial has recently spent a distance of 10,000 km, Actross 2012 consume 25.9 liters of diesel for a distance of 100 miles (3.86 km / liter).

Large truck aerodynamics developed by spending time over 2600 hours in the wind tunnel is driven by a 6-cylinder OM471 diesel engine capable of generating power up to 510 hp with 2,500 Nm torsional strength.

Actross development has been made since 10 years ago and spent 5 years testing of components up to Actross really ready to be launched. As long as it is already covered 50 million miles in land proving ground and 20 million miles km on the highway open.
