CHEVROLET TRAVERSE 2011 REVIEW

CHEVROLET TRAVERSE 2011 REVIEW

General Motors first took the wraps off the fourth and final Lambda based CUV - the Chevrolet Traverse - for the 2009 model year. Although the Traverse shares underpinnings with the Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook, its style reflects the latest design direction Chevrolet.

Apparently, the actions of little or no cross plate with his brothers. As speculated, the journey takes a front fascia inspired by the Malibu and indicates the future design of other Chevrolet models. It has a chrome front grille and headlights wing projection of light available. The current journey exterior design also includes turn signals integrated into side mirrors, integrated rear spoiler, 17 -, 18 - or 20-inch wheels, an available panoramic sunroof, dual exhaust and optional.

Inside, the Traverse uses the same twin-cockpit design that can be found in Malibu. Houses Crossing dual instrument panel gauge cluster with chrome trimmed. Interior standard and available features include a rear parking sensor, rear view camera, power liftgate, remote start, heated front seats with heating and cooling, navigation system, DVD entertainment and OnStar. It is worth noting that customers do not have to opt for the navigation system to get a rear camera. On the contrary, can be added as one option for the use of a screen built into the rearview mirror. The Traverse also uses tiny mirrors embedded in the side mirrors to reduce blind spots.

Although the Traverse shares its grounds with other GM Lambda CUVs, the Traverse really use a slightly different engine. While the other uses a 3.6-liter Lambda V6 with MPFI, the Traverse uses a V6 3. 6 liters with direct injection - both the rising production and fuel consumption.

This crossing the current generation has an output of 286 horsepower and 255 lb.-ft. of torque - 281 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque with a single exhaust system - compared to the standard Lambda 275 horsepower and 251 lb.-ft. of torque.

But despite the jump in horsepower, the Traverse gets better fuel economy than its Lambda siblings with 24 miles per gallon on the highway.

Prices: $ 29,370 TART on LTZ, $ 38.25 As shown
